161-foot, 16-story Neo-Renaissance residential building completed in 1925. Designed by Fred F. French, it is clad in brown brick above a 3-story limestone base painted a cream color. The main entrance is south of center on the avenue, with a 2-story round-arch. It has wood-and-glass double-doors below a rounded black canvas canopy extending out over the sidewalk. The doorway is framed by slender rope colonnettes and elaborate foliate-ornamented pilasters that continue around the top of the arch, which encloses a double-window of leaded glass at the 2nd floor. To the south the lower two floors have a bay of paired windows, a service entrance with a black metal door (on the ground floor) and a small bathroom window on the 2nd, and a single-window end bay, with the ground floor having another service entrance tucked into the end. To the north the lower two floors have a bay of paired windows, another service entrance below a small bathroom window, a single-window bay, a paired-window bay, and then two more single-windows, with the first one of the 2nd floor being a smaller bathroom window. The 2nd-floor windows have notched upper corners. The 3rd floor has a continuous sill course, and each window from below is altered to a pair of very narrow round-arched windows separated by small Corinthian columns, save for the small bathroom windows which remain unchanged. The base is capped by a stone band with alternating patterns of scrolled brackets.
The upper floors on the west facade have, from south to north, a single-window end bay, a small bathroom window bay, three bays of paired windows, another small bathroom window and a single-window, a paired-window bay, another bay of small bathroom windows, and a single-window end bay. Except for the smaller windows, they all have dentiled stone sills. The paired window bays at the 14th-15th floors have 2-story stone pillars framing them, topped by round-arches at the 15th floor. The other single-windows also have stone round-arches at the 15th floor. The facade is capped by a scalloped stone roof cornice.
The north facade on 35th Street has another entrance, deeply recessed in a portico with a tiled floor and curved walls. It has wood, glass, and wrought-iron double-doors. The entry is set in a projecting 2-story bay framed by engaged colonnettes on both sides. At the 2nd floor the tops of the inner two colonnettes form the outer edges of a pair of round-arched windows separated by a shorter colonnette with a wavy pattern. The projecting bay is capped by a stone cornice with dentils; to either side the cornice continues without dentils. West of the entrance is a paired-window bay and a single-window end bay, along with two very narrow bathroom windows at the 2nd floor. To the east the ground floor has a paired-window bay next to a secondary entrance with a black wooden door, a single-window, and a black metal service door at the end. The 2nd floor has another small bathroom window next to the projecting entry bay, a paired-window bay, another small bathroom window, and a double-window end bay. The 3rd floor has narrow, paired round-arched windows like the west facade, except for the east end bay, which has a square-headed double-window.
Above the base, the upper floors have three paired-window bays in the middle, a single-window west end bay, and double-window east end bay, with small bathroom windows between each bay. The double-windows have black mullions, and the rest of the ornament matches the west facade.
The north part of the east elevation has two single-window bays, with the rest of this facade set back with several wider window bays. The west end of the south facade also has two single-window bays, with the rest set farther back and having a double-window between two single-windows, and another single-window bay at the east end.
The building contains 100 apartment units.
