Balabanlii is a protected site with Ordinance № 3962 from 20.12.1973 by the Ministry of Forestry and Environmental Protection.
Re-categorization with Ordinance № РД-390 from 03.04.2003.
Area: 123.5 hectares.
Unique identification code in the register of protected areas in Bulgaria: 255.
Aims of the declaration: Conservation of the characteristic landscape.
Current prohibitions and regimes:
1. It is prohibited to carry out felling, except with sanitary and landscape purposes. The managing to be implemented in accordance to forest managing plan for conservation the nature;
2. It is prohibited grazing of livestock at any time;
3. It is prohibited to build quarries, dig out stones, extract sand or other inert materials, dump slag and other industrial waste, as well as any other activities, which disturb or destroy the beauty of the surrounding nature.
