Estate home designed c. 1938 in the Georgian Revival style by Mott B. Schmidt on originally 19 acres of land for Charles Sammis Robertson {financier}. Robertson served as a partner of the Harris, Upham & Co. investment banking firm. He also married Marie Louis Hoffman who was heir to the Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company. Interior decoration was apparently provided by Elsie Sloan Farley.

The estate was donated in 1976 to to Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory which uses it as the Banbury Conference Center.
