Residence built c. 1923 in the Neo-Tudor/Flemish style for Jennie McComb Taylor. It was later purchased by Albert Samuel Roberts, Sr {industrialist}. Roberts was a vice-president of the soda manufacturing firm of White Rock Mineral Spring Co. as well as the chairman of the Emergency Work Bureau of Nassau County. In 1941, the house was sold to Charles Sloane Betsterling.
