The Patarasp and Shirley Sethna House (1967) is a notable modern work by Ralph Rapson (1914-2008), and one of a series of houses he designed in the University Grove neighborhood.

Designed for university professor Patarasp Rustomji "Pat" Sethna, who became head of the department of Aerospace, Engineering and Mechanics in 1966; he lived in the house until his death in 1993.

The house is noted for a bold yellow circle painted on the garage door, the local version of 60's supergraphics. ''I wanted to paint it red, but Pat thought that would be too violent,'' Mr. Rapson said. ''He thought yellow was more cheerful.''
