Notes: This historic road segment has served a variety of functions during its 180-plus years of existence, including military transportation during the Civil War, postal route, and general access between Camden and Washington. Today, the central portion of the road is largely impassable due to water encroachment and fallen trees caused by beaver activity, but the two outer portions are still open to vehicular traffic.
