Notes: This road segment is one of the best preserved sections of the Cherokee Trail of Tears existing in Arkansas. It also served as a major route of transportation for non-Native Americans in this region after the Trail of Tears era. The road's current designation switches variously from Route 917 to Terrapin Creek Road to Dunkard Road.
