residence, underground station
The c.1838 Greek Revival Colonial residence of early Manhasset businessman Myers Brinkerhoff. It was one of the first homes in the Shoredale area, all estates which once had commanding views of Manhasset Bay. Brinkerhoff Lane in Manhasset was named after him.
It is believed that this home was a stop on the Underground Railroad though it is not confirmed.
