4-story residential building completed in the 1880s as a townhouse. A commercial storefront projecting out to the building line was added in the early 1900s. It has since been further altered, and now has stainless steel and glass at the ground-floor storefront and entrance. Above an awning and sign panel, the recessed upper floors are faced in pale yellow-painted brownstone, with three bays of windows. Each window has a projecting, bracketed stone sill and metal cornice; the top-floor windows are shorter. The facade is crowned by a brown metal roof cornice with brackets and panels. The ground floor is occupied by Cafe 37.
