The City of Birmingham Engineers Depot was built in two phases for the London and North Western Railway as a mineral and coal wharf. The first phase, the horseshoe-shaped building, housed stores and stables and was built around 1840. The second phase was the two houses flanking the entrance, built in 1885. Everything is Grade II listed.
