208-foot, 16-story Renaissance-revival office building completed in 1912. Designed by Buchman & Kahn, it has a 3-story limestone base, reddish-brown brick shaft, and 2-story limestone crown. The west facade on 7th Avenue has five bays, and the north facade on 36th Street has seven.
The main entrance is in the southern bay on the avenue, consisting of a revolving door with two flanking doors, topped by a large plate-glass window, all framed in brass. The brass frame extends two floors high to a round-arch at the 2nd floor, divided from the 1st by a black metal panel. The other bays have modern plate-glass and stainless steel storefronts, except for the eastern bay on the north facade, which has a service entrance framed by a grey-painted limestone round-arch. The 2nd-3rd floors have triple-windows with transoms and black metal frames (which also divide the panes within the brass arch at the 2nd floor above the main entrance). The other spandrels between the 1st & 2nd floor are stone, with recessed, textured panels and rosettes in the centers. The panel above the service entrance is different, with a small cornice and larger, simple circle in the center; above this panel are paired windows. The piers at the 3rd floor are adorned with panels featuring carved flowers, and a band course caps the base.
The mid-section is clad in reddish-brown brick, with three windows in each bay, framed by stone sills, brick headers, and dark-grey iron mullions. A modest cornice sets off the 2-story stone crown, which has the same mullions dividing each bay into three windows. The spandrels at each bay have three medallions, and the tops of the piers are decorated with mostly flat, Renaissance-inspired, hanging ornament. At the top of the 16th floor is a fluted band with a larger medallion at each bay. Both facades are crowned by a green copper roof cornice. The ground floor is occupied by Shindo USA textiles, a TD Bank branch, and Greek from Greece restaurant.
