The crew of the Sv. Nikolai, commanded by Luka Nasedkin, attacked and destroyed four villages along the north coast of Unimak in 1764-1765 but were repulsed by the Unangax̂ living here at Pogromskoe. They went on to destroy a fifth village before being besieged at their ship and eventually destroyed.
