Built in 1923 for Elsie W. Washburn of 15 E. 41st Street in Manhattan, daughter of Harry Wasburn who helped develop the Plandome Land Co. It was later occupied by Elmer Hoare {lawyer}. During his time of practice, Hoare represented a number of real estate, estate, and surrogacy cases up until the 1960's including the early years of the Strathmore-Vanderbilt at Manhasset development.
