150-foot, 12-story residential building completed in 1910. Designed by Crow, Lewis & Wickenhoefer as a store-and-loft building, it is clad in off-white brick above a 3-story limestone base. The east end of the ground floor has the main entrance, flanked by polished grey granite; on the west is a service entrance with the original stone enframement and rope molding, topped by an ornamented entablature with cornice. The storefronts in between are topped by black cast-iron panels and cornice. At the 2nd & 3rd floor, the end bays have single-windows, with a foliate carved panel between them. The middle section has black cast-iron bay windows that project slightly from the angled side panes. A dentiled band course caps the base.
The upper floors have single-windows with stone sills in the end bays, and bands of four windows divided by iron mullions in the middle. The brick spandrels are outlined with a brick pattern, and stone sills joined all four windows at each floor. A projecting band course sets off the top floor, with a large cartouche in the center. The top floor has carved stone pilasters in place of mullions, and the end bays have carved stone piers. The facade is crowned by a black metal bracketed roof cornice. The east elevation is clad in reddish-brown brick, with a bay of windows at the front, three more bays at the rear, and a few smaller windows in the middle. The ground floor is occupied by Taphaus bar, and La Vie en Szechuan restaurant.
