133-foot, 12-story Beaux-Arts building completed in 1910 for the estate of Walden Pell. Designed by Pell & Corbett as a commercial loft building, the narrow facade has a 2-story base of limestone (with the piers sitting on grey granite bases), and white-glazed terra-cotta upper floors. The piers at the base, decorated with circles and half-circles, frame a ground-floor storefront of glass and pale-green metal, with a recessed storefront entry on the right and a recessed main entry on the left. The 2nd floor has three large windows divided by slender iron columns, sitting above fluted spandrels with small stone shields. An elaborate frieze and modillioned cornice cap the base.
The upper floors have three bays of square-headed windows with projecting sills. The top two floors are set off by a dentiled cornice that projects out over the end piers, and has a central cartouche. Separating the three bays at the top floors are two large, round Corinthian columns. A small dentil course underlines the boldly-projecting black metal roof cornice.
The eastern elevation is clad in brown brick with a short, keyed return of the white terra-cotta from the front facade. It has two bays of windows near the front. The western elevation is also brown brick with a keyed terra-cotta return, and seven bays of windows.
The building was converted to condominiums in 2012, with 18 units. The ground floor is occupied by Ma Wireless USA.
