166-foot, 15-story postmodern residential building completed in 1987. It is clad in red brick, with the main tower recessed behind the ground floor. The central entrance is glassed-in, with a tall glass barrel vault running back to the tower facade. On either side are storefronts with black canvas awnings.

The tower has square central windows with vents below each one, flanked on each side by double French doors fronted by projecting balconies. Each balcony has a red brick wall with a stone coping and short, black metal railing. At the top two floors the balconies are moved closer to center, with small windows on the outer sides. The facade is topped by a metal round-arch shape that echoes the entrance below.

A small, 1-story wing extends through to 21st Street, with a metal roll-down garage door and service entrance; it is topped by a stone coping, stepped up at the ends, and a metal railing. The Atrium at Chelsea has 45 condominium units. The ground floor is occupied by Skintology total skin and laser spa, and Swan's II cleaners.
