Villages of Kamauli, Sehwar and agricultural fields of babhanpura is the location of ancient civilization. The Chinese traveler Huen Sang visited India in 6th Century A.D. during the reign of Harshvardhan, measured the stretch of Varanasi city equal to 11.6 km . According to him, the city of Sarnath is about 5.6 km North of Varanasi city, which is the exact distance from this ancient civilization and Sarnath.
