HQ site of William S. Rosecrans the morning of Sept. 20, 1863. It was at this site where "Old Rosy" literally watched his career go up in smoke as Longstreet's Corps burst out of the woods to the east, scattering most of the Union army south of this point, including Rosecrans himself.
The second & third photos above were shot looking east across Glenn Field towards the Glenn-Kelly Road. The Confederate forces advanced out of the woods in the far distance.
