The property, originally 150 acres, was acquired by a Colonist, John Underhill, in 1667 from the Matinecock tribe. In 1790, a descendent, a Quaker named George Underhill, built part of the farmhouse that is standing today. It was used in the 1970s to host a dinner for King Olav V of Norway.

Placed on the National Register of Historic Places by the owner Sally Meyer in 2005.
