Built for William Guthrie in 1900. Lawyer for the Rockefeller family. All that remain of the 300 acre estate are the bones of its garden which was designed by Olmsted with some plantings by Hicks Nurseries. French Classical Revial, 80 rooms. Another design from C.P.H. Gilbert{Winfield Hall, Pembroke}. Design inspired from Meudon, home of Philippe younger brother of Louis XIV. Known as Monsieur, the traditional title of the sovereign's second son. Home demolished in 1955.

  • The Armstrong dairy building which was run by and owened by Meudons owner is still standing and now apartments. Eddie Armstrong (2014) still lives 100 yards to the west of the (his familys) old dairy building and still raises chickens and sells eggs. Hopes to soon be selling "cut you own" Christmas trees
