4-story residential building completed in 1892. Above the ground-floor it is clad in beige smooth stucco, with panels between each floor. The windows have stone sills and flat lintels, with decorative iron balcony railings at the center two windows of each floor. The building is crowned by a prominent black-painted cornice with dentils and brackets extending down just past the fascia board. The residential entrance is on the right, with a wood-and-glass door below a transom of colored glass tiles. A restaurant storefront of wood, metal, and glass is at the center, with a studio window of horizontal panes stacked in a 5-over-4 grid. A basement commercial space is located below, below an iron fence, with a gate and steps leading down to it. Stone-and-steel walkways span across on both ends, with the southern one leading to the restaurant entrance, with double-doors. Fluted, grey stone pilasters framed the ends of the ground floor, with gilded ornament at the tops. The ground floor is occupied by The Mermaid Inn restaurant (which also extends into the building to the south), and the basement space by Avenues Real Estate.
