5-story residential building completed in 1848 as a townhouse. In 1858 it was enlarged, extending it the full length of the lot on Charles Street and raising the attic windows in order to provide a full-height fifth story. The alteration also gave the building its crenelated roof parapet, giving the roof a "castle" look. The facade is clad in red-painted brick, with four bays on Greenwich Avenue, and eight unequally-spaced bays of varied windows on Charles Street. The easternmost bay has been filled-in. There is a metal fire escape on Charles Street, above a round-arched entry. The ground floor is occupied by Wogies bar & grill, and Sparkle Beauty Studio.
