On top of the biggest hill, you can find round circles made of rocks from the hill with an entrance; most probably remains of a little settlement of stone age people who lived here when the Yardang field at the foot of the hill still was a (at least temporary) lake and vegetation around. The stone rings seem to be the base for huts that were built like tents.
