USA / New Jersey / Hoboken / New York City, New York / Waverly Place, 118-120
apartment building, Greek Revival (architecture), 1840s construction

A pair of 5-story residential buildings originally completed as 4-story (with raised basement) townhouses in 1842. Designed by William Hurry, they were constructed together in the Greek-revival style, but have been since altered to provide basement entrance and parapets. The doorways have differing styles of enframements and pediments. The ground-floor basements are faced in brownstone (painted dark brown and tan-yellow, respectively), with red-painted brick on the upper floors. Each facade is three bays across.
