The John Alden Apartments

USA / New Jersey / Hoboken / West 10th Street, 44
 apartment building  Add category

9-story residential building completed in 1917. Designed by Rouse & Goldstone. It is executed in ironspot brick with alternate headers and runners above the first floor. Up to this level it has a header course every sixth row. Horizontal band courses and round-arched windows at the lower floors provide interest. The end bays are separated from the wider center bays by narrow single windows. The building is crowned by a white modillioned and dentiled roof cornice.

It is named (like two buildings across the street) for a character from a Longfellow poem.
