5-story Renaissance-revival residential building originally completed in the mid-1800s as a townhouse. It was converted to a multiple dwelling in 1886,and then to a club house in 1888, then back to a multiple dwelling with stores on the first two floors in 1895. The new 3-bay facade was designed by George A. Schellinger. The building's cornice was removed and replaced by a brick parapet featuring a central open oculus with a geometric grille sometime after 1938.

The lower two floors are framed by rusticated limestone outer piers. The ground floor has a large plate-glass window in the center, and modernized, recessed entrances to the storefront and upper floors at the ends. The 2nd floor has two large window panes in the middle bay, and slightly smaller double-windows with transoms at the outer bays.

The 2nd-3rd floors are clad in thin, variegated brown and tan bricks, with stone quoins around each window and at the edges of the facade. The 2nd-floor windows have splayed stone lintels with keystones, while the 3rd-floor windows have bracketed stone sills and more decorative keystones on the lintels. A stone band course underlines the top floor, which has the same brick cladding, but round-arched windows in stone surrounds, with keystones. The brick roof parapet above is described above. The ground floor is occupied by BW Sports Wear.
