Former US Military Base at former Lafarge cement plant

The Lafarge cement plant was partially destroyed by ISIS, and was used by the SDF and US as a military base and airfield from late 2015 to October 2019. On 16 October 2019, the US Air Force bombed their part of the base to prevent its use by ISIL or Turkish-backed rebel forces. SDF forces burned their part of the base before leaving
