Alt: al Tabqa, al Tabaqah, al Thawra, al-Jarrah
Syrian Arab Air Force Base south of Tabqa city. Single 8250 ft. runway, 18 hardened aircraft shelters. Fell to ISIS in August 2014 and has remained in ISIS hands until 26 March 2017 when it was captured by the SDF. The runway was heavily damaged by ISIS to make it difficult to restore the base.
The base was captured by the Russian military in November 2019 after US forces withdrew from the region and the SDF requested Russia's presence to deter Turkey from further invading the Rojava region.

Historical: Taqba Airport is partly a military airbase of the Syrian Air Force. According to Scramble.nl, the base housed one fighter squadron.
