Hanuman Tal (Jabalpur)

India / Madhya Pradesh / Jabalpur / HANUMANTAL

This is one of the 52 tals (lakes) in Jabalpur (Thirteen of them have now fully dried). It is believed that this lake was formed when Hanuman ji put his feet on the ground. It is also a very sensitive police station because of mixed population. Here many of Hindus' temples as well as Muslims' places of worship are situated. An old Jain temple is also here. Beohar family has built and donated one of the ghats on it's banks.
