4.5-story Federal/Greek-revival office building originally completed around 1830 as a 3.5-story dwelling. It served as a boardinghouse from 1837 to the late 1840s. From 1849-60 it was once again a single-family home. By 1885, 51 Bond Street was home to the Metaphysical University whose name was emblazoned across the façade above the first and second floor windows.

In 1916, the stoop was removed and the first story and raised basement altered for use as lofts and offices. The building appears to have become a mixed-used loft building with commercial occupant as well as joint live/work quarters for artists on the three upper floors as early as 1959. It was converted to offices around 2010. It is clad in white brick, with three bays of windows on the upper floors. Above the black metal roof cornice are two dormers with slightly rounded tops. A black metal fire escape runs down the left two bays. The ground floor is occupied by D&D Salvage.
