condominiums, 1800s construction
3-story mercantile building originally completed in 1808 as a 2.5-story dwelling for Icabod Price. The full third story was probably added in 1830-31. Apparently the site continued in residential use; in 1851 it was occupied by a teacher. The metal bracketed roof cornice in the Italianate style probably dates from an 1867 alteration. The cast-iron storefront may date from this time, if not earlier. Subsequent occupants include a ground-story restaurant; the red brick upper stories have been used for storage and manufacturing, but were vacanted for a remodeling beginning in 2011.
