CDP - Census Designated Place
Add category
New Sarpy, Louisiana is a census designated community that once spanned from Ormond Plantation to the east to Motiva's Norco Refining Complex to the west. However, it has been cannibalized by Norco and Destrehan, and now runs from Vans Lane to the east to St.Charles Street in New Sarpy to the west. Pam and Dale's Seafood Restaurant and the Seafood Pot are among its better dining establiments, and the Mississippi River bike path that starts at Audubon Park in New Orleans has an off ramp in New Sarpy, at the picturesque fire station.
