7-story office building originally completed in 1902 with six floors. Designed by J.B. McElpatrick & Sons, it was completely remodeled with a new glass curtain wall facade in 1972 and an added floor of plain buff-colored brick. The curtain wall runs from the 2nd-6th floors, with silver mirrored glass. The ground floor has a central entrance bay with two sets of glass double-doors below brass panels, separated by a middle section of white marble. A slightly-projecting brass band covers the whole middle bay, with black metal letters spelling out "CHINATEX", and "Building" is a smaller, script font at the lower right corner. The bays to either side have black granite bases and black metal corrugated infill. The brick top floor is set back at the center, creating two windowless end towers.
