300-foot, 31-story modern rental apartment building completed in 2001. Designed by Schuman, Lichtenstein, Claman & Efron, the building contains 283 rental apartments. Above the ground-level storefronts, it is clad in beige brick and grey metal spandrels & window framing. The setback tower rises above a base that has 5-story wings at the ends and a 2-story center section. There is a discrete side-street entrance from 27th Street with a long waterfall and wall of glass blocks. The lobby has a Jackson Pollock-like painting by Mike Bidlo.

The main east and west facades span 12 bays across, while the shorter north and south elevations both have two bays of small square windows in the center and a bay of floor-to-ceiling double-windows with silver metal framing and spandrels at the corners. The 2nd floor along the avenue has 12 small, square windows. The upper three floors at the north and south wings of the base have two bays of double-windows flanked by two bays of triple-windows. Each bay has a metal vent below it. The set-back tower has two bays of double-windows in the center, flanked on both sides by a bay of floor-to-ceiling, metal-framed double-windows with vents at the bottom of the inner window. On each side, there is a small setback to another two bays of stone-surrounded double-windows and a bay of floor-to-ceiling metal-framed windows; behind another small step-back are two more bays, one stone-framed and a final metal-framed bay of floor-to-ceiling windows. Some of the stone-framed bays have metal vents below the windows.

777 Sixth has a concierge and a 24-hour health club, a private lounge, valet service and housekeeping, a laundry room and a roof deck. Apartments have natural finish oak parquet floors, twin-glazed thermal windows, individual heating and air-conditioning controls, Crane pedestal sinks, Frameless glass tub enclosures, General Electric appliances, maple cabinets, and 8-foot-8-inch-high ceilings.

The ground floor is occupied by a Duane-Reade pharmacy.
