The c.1929 English Tudor mansion built for Paul Huffard, President of The National Carbon Co., and a Vice President, Director, and member of the Executive Committee of Union Carbide and Carbon Corp. Huffard was a chemist and researcher for the Electro Metallurgical Co. and Union Carbide Co. before moving into upper management of various companies within the Union Carbide and Carbon Corp., such as the International Eveready Co., Acheson Graphite, Beacon Electric, and the National Carbon Co.
