Comments

  • Originally part of the 164 acres estate CASSLEIGH. Built for yachtsman Augustus Cass Canfield. Georgian Revival design by McKim, Mead and White c. 1902. Landscaping by Olmsted . House destroyed in 1940.
  • There was a few remnants of the estate when I played there as a kid, including an observatory at the top of the hill where the 3 paths meet. Great place for sledding in the 60's and 70's. A few kids hit the trees and law suits ended the fun.
