 condominium  Add category

302-foot, 31-story postmodern residential building completed in 2008. Designed by Polshek Partnership (with interior by David Rockwell), it is U-shaped, with the main tower on the south part of the lot, and a 13-story wing extending up to the northeast corner of the lot, and a flared 14-story wing extending to the northwest corner. The courtyard in between leads to the building's main residential entrance. A ground-floor opening at the south end of the tower also cuts through to the courtyard. The wings have landscaped roof gardens and the tower has a 4-story-high, glass-enclosed portico/lobby.

The building's 2-story base is clad in grey stone. The upper floors are clad in pale red brick, with horizontal pink brick banding on the western facade's glass curtain wall. There are wrap-around windows at the open corners on both the wings and tower, and the top of the tower has a very high-tech, multi-story screen that nicely complements the crisp detailing of its other façades. The Riverhouse contains 264 condominium units.
