Being one of our country’s border gates, which opens to Georgia, Çıldır-Aktaş is 62 km away from Ardahan. Çıldır - Aktaş has cyclical importance in terms of its location to make transportation easier to Tbilisi, Baku, hence Central Asia. This border gate reduces a part of the burden of the Sarp Border Gate by providing the opportunity of a shorter route when compared to the other border gates in the transportation to Tbilisi and Baku.

Thanks to Çıldır-Aktaş Border Gate, whose modernization was completed in 2015 and placed on a field of 76.000 sqm, the transportation to new markets became shorter for provinces of the region and development of the foreign trade volume are being supported.
In the border gate, which was provided with high-technology, apart from service areas, duty-free shops, food and beverage service areas are in service.
