Recognized in 2000 by the Post-Gazette as Pittsburgh's biggest eyesore, the 31st Street Bridge has since been rehabilitated, and is now one of the nicest bridges in the city. The bridge reopened in 2006 with a new concrete deck and ornate lighting.
