"Belite Skali" (The White Cliffs) is a natural monument (In Bulgarian: Белите скали) with Ordinance No.РД-486 from 17.04.2003 by the Ministry of Environment and Waters.
Aims of the declaration: Protection of unique geological rock continuous rock geological profile, representing Cretaceous–Paleogene boundary and its attendant iridium-raremetal anomaly.
Unique identification code in the register of protected areas and zones in Bulgaria: 528.
Area: 14.59 hectares.

The studies show that the White Cliffs were formed as a result of a cosmic cataclysm that led to the extinction of the dinosaurs about 65 million years ago.
The White Cliffs are located between the northern end of the central beach of the town of Byala and the mouth of the Byalata (The White) River.
