272-foot, 22-story modernist office building completed in 1956. Designed by Emery Roth & Sons, it was originally known as the Lowenstein Building. It is clad in white brick with ribbon bands of windows in brown metal frames. Stone-faced slabs at each of the building's three corners frame the facades. The double-height main entrance is at the south end on Broadway; it is framed by a pair of black polished granite pillars with recessed glass doors below a silver metal panel with gold numbers "1430". The rest of the ground floor has metal-and-glass storefronts set between polished grey granite panels. There is a freight entrance with a garage door at the far east end of the north facade.

The east end of the building begins a series of setbacks above the 12th floor. There are two setbacks on the west facade, above the 16th & 18th floors. The ground floor is occupied by a Duane-Reade by Walgreens pharmacy.
