Neo-Colonial "Hawk Hill Place" was built in 1925 for Emil J. Stehli, the president of a New York silk manufacturing firm. In 1929, Treanor & Fatio enlarged the home to include a Tudor Revival great room with oak wainscoting and several other rooms. Ultimately contained 29 rooms with eight bathrooms. In 1969 house was split in two - house to the east was part of the original structure on a new foundation - house to the west contains the newer additions.
