Ukmergė district municipality

Located in eastern Lithuania, covers area of 1395 km². Divided into 12 elderships. Administrative centre is Ukmergė.
Until creation of Lithuanian Kingdom in 1251 the county was known as Deltuva. Municipalty has some archeologic and culture heritage, commonly mounds ad manors. The longest river is Šventoji. Highway A2 (Vilnius-Panevėžys) splits municipality into two parts.
