The ruins of "Byalata Stena" (The White Wall) Fortress are located 4 km northwest of the village of Svalenik, Ruse Province. This is a little late Roman fortress, part of the defense system of the Romans in the lands of North Bulgaria today. The fortification occupies the crest of a narrow rocky promontory with steep slopes, projecting from west to east between the Malki Lom River canyon and the Dolap Boaz dingle. The beginning of the archaeological research of the site was set in 2007.
