Protected Site "Stone Forest" (Pobiti Kamani or Dikilitash) - Varna is the first formally recognized and protected by state landmark in Bulgaria (1937). Area 253.3 ha and covers an area of 50 sq.km in 14 groups (most of which are little known). Pobiti Kamani is a stone forest with several groups of stone columns with different diameter. The biggest group consists of 300 columns. Formed about 50 milion years ago, their origin is not clear enough.
Division of the central group of the north and south is derived from spending way through the central group of upright stones
