The only visible remains of a homestead today is this small family cemetery plot located in a 1 acre area of land untouched by the surrounding oil field activity.The family refused large sums of money for this cemetery tract at the time. The cemetery is surrounded by a 4 foot cement wall. efforts to clean the cemetery began in early 2018 through a partnership between Hamman's Baytown History with a Twist and The Baytown Historical Preservation Association.
