Glenwood Cemetery is located at 2525 Washington Avenue in Houston, Texas, adjacent to the district on the north side of Buffalo Bayou known as the Sixth Ward. The 114-acre site of a former brick yard was the first cemetery in Houston to be professionally designed; it opened as a cemetery park in May, 1871.
