Ever since 1989, this Park was cleaned and leveled by the children of neighbouring houses to play after every rainy season . These children used to make effigy of Raavan by using old newspapers and crackers to burn on Dashahara festival every year. By the collective efforts of the neighbouring residents this park has now been developed into a very decent place with lush green grass beds along with flowering and foliage plants besides some big trees. The steering committee of neighbouring residents have named it as 'Pragati Park'.
