  “Sever Export ” Ltd. has been fishing and processing conchs since the late 90s. One of the ports that conchs and fish are first sold at belongs to the firm. It is located on the right side of the entrance channel to the city of Varna. It has an area of 8000 square metres and is only 1 km away from the production facility thus ensuring the freshness of the raw material that is to be processed. The fish and conchs are caught by 4 ships owned by “Sever Export”, each with a length of 24m. The firm facilities are situated on an area of 15000 sq.m. within which is the production facility for processing conchs stretching on 2900 sq.m.. In the accommodation there are rest-rooms for more than 100 persons offering conditions that are fully compatible with the Good Production Practices (GPP) implemented in the firm. The work spaces are situated on an area of 900ì². In the pre-processing zone of the conch plant there are 25 workers in one shift while in the fine processing zone there are up to 80 persons in one shift. Thus the production rate reaches 5 or 6 tons per day. The firm has a big refrigerating area: shock freezers, storage freezers as well as refrigerating cabinets with temperatures above 00 degrees to store live conchs and cooled fish. “Sever Export ” Ltd. has clients all over the world: Japan, South Korea, the USA, China, Hong Kong, Vietnam and since 2007 the European Union. The export of conchs amounts to 400 or 450 tons per year.
