Lake Varna (Bulgarian: Варненско езеро, Varnensko ezero), area 17.5 km² and volume 165,000,000 m³, is the largest by volume natural lake in Bulgaria. It is divided from the Black Sea by a 2 km-wide strip of sand. The lake is navigable and is very important for Bulgarian shipping.
